We continue our Songbook sessions with a workshop from the one and only, King Frankie Sinatra!
King Frankie Sinatra has hosted and produced one of London’s largest Drag King night - Kings of Clubs- at the legendary Royal Vauxhall Tavern since 2017. As someone who started doing drag in the 1990’s they are delighted it's finally coming of age.
Smart jokes, self-penned parody songs plus exquisite hosting means the searing satirist Frankie offers the audience a well-produced and fun filled night to remember.
Whether with Stand by our Trans, complete with an audience song sheet to demand a sing-along, or appearing as Sorry Elvis who tries to negotiate dating apps, she has the audience eating out of her hand from curtain up to the final bow. And don’t forget the velvet voice, smoother than vegan butter.
So whatever your reasons for wanting to do drag, Frankie will guide you, in this fun filled evening. All genres and genders welcome.
This workshop is part of Songbook and we encourage participants to consider taking part in the Songbook show at The Albany in September. Paul from Bijou Stories will be on hand to talk more about the project and how you can get involved
