Are you a budding artist? Do you want to try out new arts and crafts activities? Perhaps you just want to get creative in a safe social space, and meet other LGBTQIA+ people from your local community? We have got you covered!
Join us for our series of upcoming free LGBTQIA+ art workshops delivered in collaboration with ArtLink Hull! Supported by East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
During the workshops, you can explore the theme of ‘Express Yourself’ by creating a zine, collage, or painting/drawing. Facilitators will be available to lead mini workshops, and help you to make your vision come to life! We will be collecting any donated pieces for an exhibition that will be on display at Wolds Pride 2024, celebrating all your fantastic work! (Sunday 22nd September 2024). You are welcome to take your piece home with you on the event day, should you wish.
The series will consist of three workshops, throughout the East Riding of Yorkshire:
- Market Weighton Community Hall, YO43 3AX: Sunday 16th June 2024: 12:30pm - 4:00pm
- Driffield: Date, time and location TBA shortly!
- Pocklington Arts Centre, YO42 2AR: Sunday 22nd September 2024: 12:30pm - 2:00pm (Wolds Pride 2024!)
You are welcome to attend one, two or all three sessions! The workshops are open to all ages, allies are welcome.
Free light refreshments will be provided.
Please be sure to book tickets for each workshop you wish to attend. Please note you DO NOT need to book tickets for our third session in Pocklington at Wolds Pride 2024 on Sunday 22nd September 2024. This will be an open invitation and activity to all attendees and will take place in the Activities and Workshop Zone inside the Pocklington Arts Centre.
