Learn to confidently use an electric drill in this 2 hour workshop by In Her Hands. Taught with an un-pressured and inclusive approach, we will demystify the everyday ‘combi’ drill and leave you feeling ready to tackle your DIY projects! We will explore the mechanisms and buttons, whilst also exploring the applications and uses. No experience necessary!
We will go through:
- Buttons, settings and technicalities
- Drill bits, screwdriver bits, masonry bits and how to comfortably interchange them
- Screws! Which size, drill bit and what speed
- Applications: wood, metal and masonry
- Practise on reclaimed wooden blocks and get confident with the handling
What should I bring?
Nothing! We will bring all the tools and materials (please expect to share between 2) but if you have your own drill you'd like to get to know then please bring it along! We plan on playing some gentle background music in the background but if you have sensory sensitivities and this would effect you please email us at info@inherhands.org so we know not to :)
