Since September we've been holding our next monthly LGBTQ+ Quiz night and our next one will be held on Wednesday 16th February 2022 at The Angelic, Islington.
Test your knowledge against other teams while also having opportunities to knock points off other teams' scores and even jump up the scoreboard! SpeedQueerzers isn't just your standard quiz where the best team wins! Various features within this game show style quiz means that even in the last round, it's not necessarily game over for teams dwindling at the bottom of the scoreboard.
No pen or paper is needed as teams battle it out using a single smartphone or tablet which eliminates the possibility of cheating as well as being able to score bonus points for answering more quickly than other teams.
Tension, banter and interaction is what makes a night with SpeedQueerzers.
Since April 2020 until July last year, SpeedQueerzers has been hosting the quiz online for free at least once a week. The free online quizzes should be back this month!
Rounds include general knowledge, music, catchphrase and a memory test!
Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams as well as many spot prizes during the Quiz including some rather naughty prizes!
Tickets are £7 but initially book your place for £1 via outsavvy (plus their fee) and pay the remaining £6 on the night!
Tables are limited to a maximum of 6 (tickets sold individually). Solo attendees are very welcome and encouraged as we will allocate you to a team with other solo players or smaller teams. Smaller teams will likely be combined with other smaller teams due to limited tables (maximum of 6 per team). Due to logistics, teams will be made up of at least 5 players so we don't end up with a lot of expired trophies!
The quiz takes place upstairs in the function room at The Angelic. Unfortunately it doesn't have lift access and is only accessible by stairs, of which there are 24 steps.
A food menu is available with a couple of vegan options as well as ‘Wine Wednesdays’: A bottle of wine for £13.
I will be in contact with ticket holders to find out whether you're attending alone or who your team mates are to ensure you are all on the same table. Solo players will be put into teams with other solo players or smaller teams!
COVID POLICY: As the quiz is mainly seated aside from the breaks, it won't see a lot of mingling between players except at tables. We will not be asking for any proof of vaccination nor tests. We recommend taking a self test at home just for your own piece of mind.
