Join us hand in hand for a trip to the underground for Kent's only night dedicated to goth. Goth rock, industrial, darkwave, coldwave, post-punk and so much more!

Step into the shadowy world of Miss Luna Lestrange, Canterbury's resident spook. This mistress of the macabre is armed with a mouth as sharp as razors and a stare to rival Medusa, serving gothic glamour and lethal wit. Her performances are equal parts spellbinding and terrifying. Approach with caution – dare to be bewitched, but beware the bite behind the beauty.

Cici Noir

The 'infamous' Cici Noir: a whirlwind of chaos who offers a mix of oddball Burton-esque heroine with the tack and charm of Elvira. She's known for steamy performances with her own sexy style of storytelling charm and brooding dark themes. She's made audiences 'hot under the collar' across the country, in shows such as Untamed Burlesque, Blackpool Tattoo Convention and Glasgow Festival of Burlesque. But when she's not entertaining audiences as her weird and whimsical self, Cici can be found stage managing at cabaret nights, supporting Fringe shows with choreography or accessibility advice, as well as working as a model for artists and photographers. Once you've seen her onstage you'll agree she really must've been a muse in another life - or maybe you just want her to be?

Karma Obskura

Karma Obskura is the transient trans- temporal delinquent drag deviant from the dusty streets of London. Their performance work draws influence from both the past and future seeking inspiration from gothic Victoriana to a cyber neon future, but always through a queer lens. Karma is fascinated by the macabre and monstrous and always ready to reach a claw into the shadows. Karma is delighted to join the lineup for this year's Hexed at Halloween

Asha Fierce

Asha Fierce means Fierce Hope.
When the tears of the courtesan fall at the feet of the goddess, she manifests.
A divine disruptor, this tantric tigress from Bengal is the creation of critically acclaimed dancer @ashmukherjeeofficial
Born on the 13th, on the darkest night under a waning moon, this Scorpio rising temptress from the temple will make you remember what you had to suppress in order to survive.
Inspired by the flirty, aristocratic aunties of Ash’s childhood, this barefoot contessa from Calcutta can see right through your soul, if you can hold her gaze long enough.
Asha dances wildly on full moon nights  her laughter echoing through the cliffs of Botany Bay and vanishes during Mercury retrograde.
Ash’s mother would disapprove immensely.

In addition to these wonderful performances, we will also feature Em Panda, back by popular demand, setting up shop with a market in the back rooms.

Sasha Underdown will be providing the photography throughout the night, so make sure you dress to distress!

Crafting/Ice-Breaker

Back by popular demand is our ice-breaker crafting table. Open from doors until the performances start at 10pm(ish), Anna Crooks will be helping guests to craft masks and other decorations for the evening, as well as encouraging people to get to know each other before the rest of the night really descends

Music

The Filth Collective will be providing music until the early hours, playing dance floor fillers ranging from goth rock classics, to post-punk, darkwave, metal, industrial and MORE. Our request book will also be open for appropriate requests!

Lowlife Margate

!NEW! We have teamed up with Lowlife to provide a pre-party, where they will be playing a goth, punk and metal playlist and providing the Halloween vibes before we open doors. In addition, they will be providing discounted drinks offers for anyone with a Hexed ticket!

🌛 We understand that with a recession and a cost of living crisis, not everyone can afford to go out and have fun with their friends, which is why The Filth Collective events operate a “bread and roses” policy. If you wish to come down and party into the witching hour with us, but do not have the funds to cover the entrance fee, then please let us know and we can add you to the free list. Please contact us here or on our socials. We will keep it entirely anonymous 🌜

Arts Club CODE OF CONDUCT

The Margate Arts Club is a pure Joyful LGBTQIA+ centred  space. 

We open our doors to everyone who is nice and respectful of the space and our community; radical free thinkers, artists, creatives, kinksters, left-wingers, socialists, environmentalists, supporters of equal rights and allies to the LGBTQIA+ community are welcome.

We do not tolerate racism, transphobia, homophobia, biphobia, xenophobia, ableism, ageism, body shaming, slut shaming, or misogyny. 
Ask for consent before touching anyone. This includes touching hair and surgical scars. Check in and ask for pronouns. Be respectful and nice. Let people dance and talk in peace if they want to. Everyone deserves a night without being hassled or objectified. No means no.

Please do not enter the building if you do not agree or can not abide by the above. Have fun, go wild, but respect each other's boundaries.

If you ever have an unwanted interaction or microagggresion,  please inform a member of our team on the night and we will deal with it straight away. Also, look out for each other. This is a DIY community space, so lets also check in on each others welfare.
