Cleopatra and friends invite you to an afternoon of music and musings, exploring disability, friendship and radical joy. In this acoustic concert, Cleopatra will sing covers of songs that reflect important lessons she has learned from her personal journey with disability, and share insights and anecdotes from her own story. From the challenges of being housebound, Into the (my) Arms of her Chosen Family, where she Can’t Help Falling in Love with the world, this intimate gig will touch on indie-pop with jazz influences, featuring heartfelt renditions of Elvis, Nick Cave, Rina Sawayama, Laufey and more.
Cleopatra will be accompanied by Kit Mosely on acoustic guitar, and supported by Su Kim on piano.
