Dick Denham is a non-binary thirtysomething comedian based in London, originally from the Isle of Wight. A hit with queer and straight crowds alike, Dick has audiences in stitches with their surreal observations on being genderqueer in a heteronormative world, and the aspects of British culture that we all love to be indifferent about normally.
In this debut one-hour Work-in-Progress at The Glory, Dick takes the banality of everyday life and cleverly - and queerly - subverts it: you'll never experience a branch of Holland & Barrett or a commercial for the People's Postcode Lottery in the same way again!
A graduate of the Angel Comedy Intro to Stand-up course, Dick has performed as a stand-up and emcee since 2017 in a variety of pubs, clubs, and theatres in London, Edinburgh, Brighton, and beyond. They were a semi-finalist in the 2Northdown New Act Competition 2021, and were joint Runner-Up runner-up in the Comedy Bloomers LGBTQ+ New Act Competition 2022.
The show will be opened by the award-winning Victoria Melody ("one of the most charming independent performance-makers in Britain" - The Times), fresh from her run at the Edinburgh Fringe.
