Lu Greco - Dancer
Lu Greco is a gender non conforming latinx performance artist from Buenos Aires, Argentina based in London. They are a professional dancer who use movement as a means to question normativity in society. This piece, ABRE (Opens) is not a choreography, everytime it is performed the audience will essentially see the same story being told, but everytime it will be different, as the movement is 100% improvised. The creation of their next piece is currently in progress and it focuses specifically around trans existence.
Iona Champain - Drag Artist
Iona Champain is an Actor, Drag Artist and Poet from Suffolk. Currently living in London, her performances aim to address contradictions of masculinity with humour and absurdity, as well as tackling themes of who takes up space and how. Having recently completed SOHO Theatre’s Drag & Cabaret Lab, Iona is now devising some new drag pieces alongside performing in several independent films.
Oshanti Ahmed - Poet
Oshanti Ahmed is a Bengali poet by the way of South London. She is a co-parent of youth group Globe poets and the Bitter Fruit collective, as well as being an alumnus of the Roundhouse Poetry Collective 2018/19. Her work often explores the body navigates hostile environments of language, race, austerity and international trauma by suspending it from reality. She has read-across the UK and internationally including Latitude and Hay festival, as well as being featured by the BBC, Fader and the Poetry Society. When she is not writing poems, she is reluctantly completing her English Literature and History undergrad at SOAS.
Sir Cum Sized - Drag King
Sir Cum Sized is a Jewish drag king, newly erected at the Soho Theatre Cabaret and Drag Lab 2022. He's the world's leading klezmer clarinet player (according to his mum). Constantly told that he’s a special little boy, he’s here now to grace you with a clarinet lesson. But really, he's come to spiel at you. Oh and this whole time he's been wearing a clarinet in a harness like a strap-on. Because when you see a man like that talk, you’re really just watching him wank off.
bb sway - Musician
Born and raised in Hong Kong, singer-songwriter bb sway creates a warm and inviting musical world that encourages listeners to discover self-love and acceptance. Their music is often inspired by dreamy synth-pop reminiscent of artists such as Clairo, Men I Trust, Crumb, and The Marías.
Kia Matanky-Becker - Poet
Kia Matanky-Becker is a Poet / performance artist and co-parent of Queer Noise a monthly queer poetry night. Kia's lyrical poetry is a simultaneously silly and sensitive deep dive into queer relationships, friendship and community. They are particularly interested in queer coming of age narratives and their beautifully messy complexities. An over-sharer and attention seeker, get ready for tales of lesbian drama, late nights and the people they fell in love with on the bus this morning.
Kia has performed at poetry nights across the country, their performance films are archived internationally, and they were awarded the Poetry Society collaboration prize 2021.
