World Cup Charity Watch Parties

In association with GFSN (Gay Football Supporters Network), ZODIAC presents our World Cup Charity Watch Parties.

Here at ZODIAC we though long and hard about whether to boycott the World Cup due to the human rights abuses that member of our LGBTQ+ community face in Qatar.

After GFSN, a number of LGBTQ+ teams, and many of our told us that they wanted a safe space to watch the sport they love; we have decided to show the games, but use it as a chance to advance the conversation; and as a chance to raise money for charities that directly help and support people from countries that discriminate against the LGBTQ+ Community.

The charities we will be supporting are:

• Rainbow Home - Rainbow Home supports people who have fled their countries due to persecution for being lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or other members of the LGBTQ community.
• Women for Refugee Women - Women for Refugee Women work alongside women who have sought asylum to support their empowerment as they rebuild their lives, and to influence the public and policy makers to bring about the change that is needed to create a just asylum process in the UK.
• Micro Rainbow - Micro Rainbow’s vision is to create a world where lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer and intersex (LGBTQI) people are free from discrimination, persecution and have equal opportunities in life, including in accessing employment, training, education, financial services, healthcare, housing, places of faith, and public services.

Tickets for each viewing are £3 and 100% of this will go the the charities listed,: we will also be creating a number of special cocktails, and we will donate a minimum of £2 per cocktail sold to the charities too!

Games will be show on our huge projector and all screens in the main bar

Doors will open 90mins before kick off of each game.
