An incredible night of fun & laughter, with a diverse bill of the hottest comedy acts from stand up, to music, to drag - as long as it's funny & fabulous!

An antidote to “culture wars,” this is a space for unity & celebration rather than division. All are welcome to support the talent & shining of our wonderful community! The only exclusion we have is hate.

The Margate Queer Comedy Club focuses on bringing the best talent together & creating a safe and inclusive atmosphere for both audiences and performers. In a specially curated evening that is warm, welcoming & above all funny.

TRAVEL

The nearest station is Margate Train Station which provides step free access and is a 7 minute walk from the venue. 

Nearby bus stops are a minute away and serve the Loop, 8, 8x, 32, 34 and others. 

Nearby taxi offices (United Cars and Central Cars) are a two minute walk from the venue.

ACCESSIBILITY

All of us at Elsewhere, welcome those who may require accessibility assistance and will do our best to ensure the best possible service for all customers.  For access to our ground floor events there is one raised step upon entrance to the ground floor of our building and a wheelchair accessible ramp access is located via our side door entrance. There is level access to our bar, record store and upstairs stage once inside. Unfortunately, there is no step free access downstairs to our live venue room. There are 19 steps down to our basement and then level access right through to our live room once down there. 

Assistance dogs may be allowed into the venue depending on the type of event.

We understand that a hidden disability is not immediately apparent.

We are happy to offer a +1 ticket to customers requiring assistance in order to attend the event. We are unable to offer a +1 for shows that are sold out. 

TOILETS
Unfortunately Elsewhere does not have wheelchair accessible toilets.

Victoria is a lesbian Argentinian immigrant who came to the UK to steal jobs and women. Her comedy style is a dry dark mix of observation and storytelling. “

SHELF: 

Shelf are a comedy double act made up of Rachel WD and Ruby Clyde. Already lifelong friends, they started performing as Shelf in 2015, honing a style that blends standup with musical comedy.

Shelf have performed across the UK comedy and festival circuits and their work has appeared on NextUp, LADBible, and on BBC3 with over one million views. They were featured as part of Penguin’s audiobook Edinburgh Unlocked in 2020. Finalists: Sketchfest’s Best New Act 2016; Funny Women 2020; Musical Comedy Awards 2020.

AN(DRE)A SPISTO: 

An(Dre)a Spisto is a performance artist & neuroqueer clown. Trained at Lispa (Art-Haus Berlin) in Lecoq and embodied practices with a focus on clown through mask. Dre's work has been described as genre smashing, surreal, gentle and exuberant.

HEIDI REGAN:

Heidi has been writing comedy for over ten years and writing about herself in the third person for over ten minutes now. She moved to London from Australia 11 years ago. She won the BBC New Comedy Award in 2017 & So You Think You're Funny in 2016. She has performed tour support for Joe Lycett, Milton Jones, Tez Ilyas, Tom Houghton and The Guilty Feminist Podcast.

We want to carve a space on the comedy circuit proffering an antidote to the so-called “culture wars,” by creating space for unity & celebration rather than division. All are welcome to these nights to support the talent & shining of our wonderful queer community! The only exclusion we have is hate.
