Introducing: KILLER HEEL CONFESSIONALS, an ongoing solo project produced by dance maker and performance artist Hank Bamberger. Seeking to further understand queerness as a naturally glitching, fragmented, archetypal commodity, Killer Heel Confessionals will explore light, sound, objects and feeling through stiletto heels as an extension of the body.
JUNK and Hank welcome you to an evening immersed in this dystopian environment, following Hank cast as an effective parasite, feeding off a homogenised performance world to which he does not belong. The work explores trauma, irony, stiletto heel im-balances and emotional interplay, surrounded by installation and relics.
During the evening, follow Hank’s journey exploring sensual body based confessionals conveyed through aggressively high-kink 10 inch heels, as a conduit of expression, control and demise.
Join us on 04.03.23 @ The Edge, Cheapside for an immersive evening of performance, installation and experimental sound - a space where art and nightlife are tied together.

About Hank Bamberger:
Originally from Richmond, VA, Hank Bamberger is a Dance Maker, Performance Artist and Teacher with over 20 years experience. Since receiving a BFA with a concentration in Modern dance from Marymount Manhattan College, he has continued to blur the lines between performance art and dance and is constantly in a state of movement exploration and conceptual excavation. Artistic Director of Bamberger Dance Projects since 2018, Hank continues to make visually arresting and evocatively compelling work as a speciality.
About JUNK galleries:
JUNK are an artist led collective created by three brummies, challenging the ideals of good art versus bad art. Celebrating the discarded, we aim to connect with artists, being’s and subcultures in all stages of their practice, and disconnect from the hierarchy in the contemporary art world. In an uncensored way, JUNK work as a vessel to allow artists to express their authentic voice.
Support Our Artists:
If you can, please donate to our GoFundMe, a donations page JUNK have set up in order to pay Hank Bamberger a fair wage for his time and artistry. As this is only our third event we aren't in a position just yet to fuel this ourselves, so we open this up to the community - please help donate whatever you can!
The space is wheelchair accessible and some accessible seating will be available on the evening.
