Take a one-on-one pause with the spirit of the Bramble. Growing in the woods, hedges and between neglected lands, this plant — of the genus Rubus — is called both weed and fruit depending on who, when and where you invoke its name. Many enjoying its berries and respecting or cursing its thorny branches. The Bramble invites you into conversation, story and somatic prompts to touch into our [human and non-human] communal experience of living on a presently threatened and rapidly changing planet through humour, sensation and honesty.
Together we will amble outdoors. Each performance will be around forty minutes, but it’s advised to leave an hour for comfort. The performance can be arranged to be seated outside and static rather than moving, but please request this in advance. In the event of rain umbrellas will be provided. We encourage you to write with any additional access needs or questions and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
