Wellbeing sessions over Saturdays from 11:30am - 12:30pm over April, May and June to Hold space Reclaim Space with
Bibiane Blondy. PAY WHAT YOU CAN
Resistance is a space to care for yourself, be yourself, and to connect with yourself.
A space to speak and a space to be listened to. It is also a space to listen to others. A space to hold space for others. It is a space to reclaim our space, together.
Being marginalised by oppressive systems creates distortion, distance, trauma. Life, people, society, our family, work, friends…all of these are influencing how we feel about ourselves, how we think we should feel about ourselves, our reactions or lack of it, our psychological and physical wellbeing. We are influenced by the world around us, and this create a reaction of influences between our thoughts, feeling and behaviours. And holding space for yourself so you can reconnect with yourself and with others, is how I believe we can heal and resist.
During these 8 weeks, you'll get the chance to look at how our bodies and minds act and react, how to support and care for ourselves, how to be around others, how to care for others, how to be ourselves, and with others.
- Let’s collectively hold space for each other, so we can, individually, process our feelings, thoughts, reflections, or simply be.
- This workshop is Neurodivergent friendly. We will move our bodies, but all exercises can be done sitting. Bring a blanket. Priority will be given to Trans peeps and POC."
- These sessions will be taking place downstairs at The Common Press, unfortunately downstairs isn't wheelchair accessible.
