Are you ready to put on your boogie shoes?
Join us for a truly joyous afternoon of chat, dancing and more! This event is especially designed for LGBTQI+ Elders, but open to anyone who wants to celebrate the fabulousness of this part of the community.
It's the perfect opportunity to spend time with friends old and new in a safe space, to share stories and of course "cut a rug" on the dance floor.
Can't wait to see you there!
This is a sober event.
We have intentionally decided not to rely on any funding or sponsorship as we believe Pride should remain free both in cost and speech. We do not wish to create or contribute to any activity which would equate to “pink washing” (the promotion of the LGBT+ friendliness of a corporate or political entity in an attempt to downplay or soften aspects of it considered negative).
All funds will be used to cover our costs which include venue and equipment hire, paying LGBTQ+ performers, speakers and activists and keeping everyone safe and sound.
In order to make Porty Pride more accessible to those on a low income but still community-funded, we use a sliding scale ticket price for our events. You can choose what you pay based on your circumstances – you won’t be asked for any proof/ID. We just ask that you are honest!
