"In one of our last shows before we melt away and turn into something new 🫠
We attended our first Margate Pride last summer, and we’re truly blown away by incredible grassroots pride event that galvanises the community to support the Queer people of Kent. It’s bright, beautiful and filled with love.
Margate Pride was Co-started by Amy Zing, the co-founder of Sink The Pink and The Margate Arts Club who grew up in Kent. Amy started this movement to fight homophobia and transphobia and show the youth of Margate how wonderful Queer joy can be.
Down from London? Come for a day by the seaside and stay over to support this phenomenal event. If you can’t make it, please consider donation to pride." Clayton, Little Gay Brother

Code of conduct:
The Margate Arts Club is a joyful, Queer-run, LGBTQIA+ focused, anti-racist, intersectional organisation and community space.
We welcome and open our doors to everyone who is nice and respectful; radical free thinkers, artists, creatives, kinksters, left-wingers, socialists, environmentalists, supporters of equal rights and allies to the LGBTQIA+ community.
We do not tolerate racism, transphobia, homophobia, biphobia, xenophobia, ableism, ageism, body shaming, slut shaming, or misogyny.
Please do not enter the building if you do not agree or can not abide by the above. Have fun, go wild, but respect each other’s boundaries. Ask for consent before touching anyone. This includes touching hair. Let people dance and talk in peace if they want to. Everyone deserves a night without being hassled or objectified. No means no.
If you ever have an unwanted interaction or micro-aggression, please inform a member of our team on the night, and we will deal with it straight away. Also, look out for each other. This is a community space, so let’s have each other’s backs and also check in on each other’s welfare.
Big love x
