A playful and accessible queer-centred workshop series, which uses mindful life drawing and writing to explore and connect with ideas, self, and community.
Bits & Pieces is unapologetically queer, feminist, body positive, and dedicated to social justice which often informs our themes! We use themes to format sessions, so that we can play and explore with art to reflect on ways of being in the world.
We believe in art as an act of community care and are against the gatekeeping of creativity. Our aim is to create accessible and fun art spaces that encourage everyone to get involved, regardless of experience, and without worrying about the finished product.
What do I need to bring?
We will be providing some basic materials - paper, pens, pencils, pastels, boards - however, if you have some of your own materials that you like using, such as a sketch book or special pen, we encourage you to bring it along!
Pricing: We offer a sliding scale of prices, depending on what you can afford, so please choose one that is most appropriate for you. £6 options are available through Eventbrite, and please get in touch at bitsandpiecesworkshop@gmail.com as soon as possible if you need a lower-cost spot - no questions asked (we're not cops), but please know these spaces are very limited.
