In these sessions Ginny will guide you through the 4 simple steps on becoming an icon, part performance, part group based interactions. Ginny will pass on their knowledge and encourage you to find your own inner icon.
The masterclass is part of the LOUD and QUEER Arts Festival, a yearly occuring arts festival which brings LGBTQAI+ nationally renowed artists to Worcester audiences.
Ginny Lemon is Midlands based singer-songwriter, improvisational comedienne, TV personality, character actor and spiritualist. Their work explores the intersections of their working class identity, queerness, disability and taking the piss. Ginny’s distinct acidic wit, aesthetic and unique perspective on life have made them one of the UK’s most celebrated drag and performance artists.
A breakout star of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Season 2, they have performed to sell-out audiences across the UK and made several television appearances for BBC, ITV & Channel 4, including The X Factor, Joe Lycett’s Got Your Back & Celebrity Coach Trip. Their previous work includes as creator of Ginny Lemon’s Pick ‘n’ Mix residency at the Village Inn, Birmingham, a co-creator & cast member for Fantabulosa: A Drag Show For Kids, Mobilise: A Sober Party for the LGBTQ+ Community and starred in the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony flying in a giant lemon shaped hot air balloon. They released their second album, Tonic, supported by Arts Council, England.
