Christmas Drag Tales at The Common Press
Sold Out
Join us for a festive Drag Tales on 20th December and 23rd December from 11 am-12 pm at The Common Press. Please book a ticket for children and adults to enjoy the festive fun with other queer families.
Come on down to the queerest bookstore in London, where drag artists will be reading some of our favourite children's books by diverse authors.
Books like Where The Wild Things Are, Penguin, Girls, The Hug, and many other classic stories will be read. The focus is to have children see books they know and love being read by gender-diverse fabulous beings that exist all across our society. By using stories they’re familiar with, the whole environment becomes familiar and comfortable.
Expect the unexpected, there might be some singing and if the kids are old enough, there might also be some games. Kids (as well as the parents, guardians, or carers) will have time to ask questions at the end to help further understand drag queens, gender fluidity, and why we are wearing whatever it is we are wearing!
**Children must be accompanied by a guardian**Children's details should not be included when buying tickets***There is a baby changing toilet and accessible toilets.
