Become a better listener through exercises from theatre and improvised comedy. Listening is a skill that’s taken for granted. We’re able to half pay attention to conversations to keep them going but what’s really being said? Being a great listener can have so may benefits from better relationships, enhanced empathy and stronger communication.
In improvised comedy, listening is a core skill that helps us build upon each others ideas to create fun and engaging scenes. These skills transfer to help us everyday in the real world. No experience in theatre or comedy is needed for this workshop.
This is a good workshop for you if you’d like to improve your skills in:

About The Teacher
Viki Jackson is a trained happiness facilitator with the Museum of Happiness so you can bet that her workshops have a super upbeat and positive energy, leaving you feeling good as you skip out into the world!
She teaches improv and mindfulness classes with Playface and has a strong desire to spread happiness! She's been performing and training in improv comedy since 2016 (Hoopla, Free Association, Maydays etc.) and has performed with teams such as Kerfuffle, Improv The Dead, And Now, VAJ&CAJ. She teaches with Playface and has a focus on vibrant characters and upbeat energy.
Outside of improv, Viki has trained in stand up, clown and sketch (Angel Comedy, Viggo Venn, AYN). You may spot her around the London stand up circuit covered in houseplants or fooling around on the stage of Modern Art.

About The Venue
The workshop will take place in Studio 1 at Theatre Deli. Accessibility note: this studio is on the ground floor. The reception staff will take out an access ramp once you arrive.
