THIS EVENT HAS NOW SOLD OUT. We will Schedule another workshop for later in the year
. An introduction to IFS ideas and tools to use on yourself and GSRD clients
In the first of a series of GSRD trainings days, we've invited Alessio Rizzo to put together an introduction to one of the most helpful models for working with gender, sex and relationship diversities and trauma. This introduction will inspire you to learn more about this approach and gain insights into your own internal processes.
Aims
- Learn the key concepts of the IFS (Internal Family Systems) model: parts, Self and burdens;
- Practice IFS guided meditations and exercises to understand your inner world in relation to sexuality and gender;
- Understand how the inner world of GSRD people is impacted by an oppressive external system
- Integrate IFS tools in your existing practice
Learning outcomes
By the end of this workshop participants should be able to
- Apply key IFS concepts to describe gender and sexual identities
- Differentiate between behaviours influenced by burdens and trauma, and behaviours that reflect the identity of GSRD people
- Get to know their own internal system around GSRD topics
- Use IFS skills to help clients get in touch with a part of their inner system
