Join us on Wednesday, March 13th for an International Women's Day special, a night of celebrating BUTCHES! We'll have a wonderful panel full of gender non-conforming women talking about the history of butchness and the future it very much so deserves.
Now, make no assumptions, butchness is an expansive identity, encompassing many genders and ways of being, living and loving. But tonight? Tonight is all about the ladies.
On the panel:
OG Courts
"With a bio that reads "Host, gem-dropper, trouble maker" Courts is known to leave her mark wherever she plants her feet. A lover-girl who dotes on community, promoting safe spaces for QTIPOC via her brand "The Scene". Whether podcasts, panels, or parties like #SNL2 , she is an ambassador for holding & creating space for queer POC to thrive."
Yazz Senghor
I am Yaz, an Equality/Equity Diversity and Inculsion specialist, writer, mentor, speaker, facilitator, podcaster and occasional model (that's the short version). I am the Director of Confronting Change EDI Strategies, a consultancy that supports organizations and community spaces to consider their inclusive practice through an intersectional lens. While much of my work centres around consultancy, it has actually led to some really exciting places that I couldn't have predicted, like working with young people and focusing more on supporting marginalised people as well as allies and supporters.
Tabs
You can't put Tabs in a box. She's always breaking the mould. From song-writer, singer and producer of BBC Radio 1 hits to soundscape compositions for acclaimed short films to running legendary club nights, she's a true multi-disciplinary artist. All the way from sharing a stage in a London pub with Ed Sheeran to the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge and the stage of the legendary LGBT venue the Royal Vauxhall Tavern - Tabs has dedicated her life to creating and curating culture and community that reflects her experience of being a butch woman.
