We are returning to Gullivers on Monday 8th April for another line-up of awesome comedians.
Come along and see...
Jain Edwards
Surrealist stand-up Jain Edwards is bringing her unique brand of comedy to a show near you. Featured on BBC Three and Channel 4, Jain brings new light to topics such as iron lungs, autism and the surprising health benefits of chemtrails. Cursed with extreme likeability and suffering under the weight of "being an absolute sweetheart", Jain struggles on.
"Pleasingly offbeat" - The Guardian
"An excellent exercise in inventive, immensely creative comedy" - The Skinny
"Edwards succeeds with levity, charm and a knowing smile" - The List
"Get in early to catch a rising talent" - Short Com
With support from
Bex Turner
Bex Turner is a high energy, eccentric, surreal, stand up/character comic. Her likeability combined with her comedic sense of adventure makes audiences love her.

She's also performed her solo shows at various festivals including Guildford, Leicester, Camden, Faversham, Clapham, Brighton, Edinburgh, Dundee, Hastings, Nottingham and the Women in Comedy Festival (Manchester).

"Rebekka Turner plays several highly funny characters with a ‘League of Gentlemen’ edge." - Simon, Extra Topping Comedy, 2023
"Darkly nonsensical" - The Londonist 2021
"Charming and hilarious...the love child of Tommy Cooper, Eddie Izzard and Victoria Wood" - Sajeela Kershi, Comedy Cottage
Ciaran Mullins
Dry Wirrolian humorist and saying words in an order in the hope of eliciting laughter, Ciaran Mullins has performed at Hotwater, The Stand Newcastle, Frog and Bucket and many other venues.
He was a finalist in Nodding Dogs New Comedian of the Year 2022, Online Comedian of the Year 2020 and Laughienda Comedy Club which won Frog and Buckets Best Open Mic 2021. He co-runs Laughienda Comedy Club running gigs on Deansgate, Preston and The Northern Quarter.
“Ciaran Mullins looks like a comedian and luckily sounds like one too! A persona and performance that belies his relative newness to the circuit" - Nodding Dog Comedy
“His material is quite left field, his pacing and energy almost that of a one-liner comic and his hit rate is impressive." - Notts Comedy Review
and Marie Goulbourne
Marie Goulbourne is an original, authentic and self effacing comic who speaks candidly about her life as an autistic oddball in the modern world. If you’re averse to swearing, or honesty to the bone, she’s not for you. Dry, refreshing and a little bit different.
“Marie is instantly likeable, dry, smart and above all, funny. A nice change in the sea of comedy beige and definitely welcome back any time” - Harriet Dyer, Barking Tales.
with guest host Ben Hodge
Ben Hodge is quickly becoming seen as one of the most exciting new acts on the circuit. His unique outlook as a trans man has seen him earn the title of Liverpool’s Top 30 under 30. Since his debut in November 2018 his comedy has been lit up with positive reviews. Ben has also been in high demand at pride events and LGBT+ focused events. Ben took his work-in-progress stand-up show to Edinburgh Fringe, It’s a Boy?, which gained a lot of hype for his humorous approach to being trans in today’s society.
"Relatable, even if his experiences are unusual" - Chortle
“Ben is such an exciting act. Tonnes of charm and stage presence all topped off with killer jokes.” - Kiri Pritchard-Mclean
“Relatable and likeable and infinitely self aware” - Blizzard Comedy
As always, this show is free to book, with a pay-what-you-want option on the door by either cash or card.
