(Not) A Doll's House

Nora. A young wife and mother, trapped in a loveless marriage to her husband Torvald, yearning to understand more about her place in the world. An extremely radical dilemma for 1879, one that takes on new forms in 2024.

Modernity invigorates the minds of the contemporary audience because it is what they know, what they feel, and what they experience daily. (Not) A Doll’s House invites audiences to consider the intricacies of agency, sexuality, and identity - in a very 21st-century atmosphere. Where Henrik Ibsen’s feminist classic distances itself from the modern-day plight of a woman wanting more from the life she has, this play reinvestigates and reimagines what Nora’s Doll House might look like if she took the stage today.
