A special off-site event at Morocco Bound Bookshop, in the wake of World Poetry Day.
The workshop forms the next instalment of THR!VE Festival's A Call To Connection series, which focused on "the abstract prisons within an individual and the rebellion needed to exist outside of/dismantle these imposed structures and heal colonial wounds."
This poetry workshop is dedicated to the power of language as a tool of resistance, and will be a space of reimagining through group writing exercises and reading through a selection of poems by Sonia Sanchez, Grace Nichols, June Jordan and Aja Monet.
