Automated Apartheid: Big tech in Palestine and beyond π΅πΈπ€π₯Adam J will be speaking to the branch about his research into the political economy of big tech and how the production of data as a commodity links everything from social media and buying groceries, to the debate over 'AI' technology, to new forms of 'automated apartheid' which we are already seeing in Palestine and in border regimes across the world.
Adam is an East London rs21 member, author, and co-host with the podcast Acid Horizon, whose focus since 2021 has been on analysing new forms of social control through the frameworks of cybernetics, Marxist, and Post-Marxist philosophy.
