BUØY
BUØY is a trailblazing artist who weaves their non-binary queer identity into a unique tapestry of classical and
contemporary music, creating an evocative blend that resonates with the emotional depth and vocal prowess likened to
James Blake, Bon Iver, and Sigur Ros. Their musical roots, planted in the sacred grounds of church choirs, blossomed in
the vibrant queer party scenes of London and Berlin, where BUØY discovered the transformative power of music. This
journey of self-discovery and expression led them to witnessing music as a form of therapy, profoundly impacting their
approach.
The pivotal moment in BUØY's career came with a performance at Glastonbury Festival, which catalysed a collaboration
with DJ producer Palms Trax. This partnership marks a significant chapter in BUØY's evolving story, heralding the
release of their debut EP. BUØY's music is a testament to the healing power of sound, the importance of authenticity, and
the unyielding strength found in embracing one's identity, promising to captivate and inspire audiences with its depth and
innovation.
Midori Jaeger
Midori Jaeger makes emotive songs that refuse to fit into a box. Performing solo accompanying herself on the cello, she played to a sold-out Union Chapel opening for Julian Lage in 2023 and supported Riopy with a solo set at Queen Elizabeth Hall. Her versatility, personality and talent are responsible for all of her opportunities so far as she is fiercely independent, self-managed and unpublished, with no label. Midori’s two EPs have gained Jazz FM Late Night Track of the Week, plays on BBC Radio London and a live performance on BBC Radio London. Her lyrics confront belonging, gender and mixed heritage through a distinct and cello-fuelled sonority that aches with meaning, pulses with groove, and repeatedly leaves listeners deeply moved.
Tygermylk
Tygermylk is the project of Hastings Local Girl, Hayley Harland who is Always Tired. Their forthcoming debut album, ‘Local Girl, Always Tired’ is an exciting come-back after multiple throat surgeries and challenging chronic illness. Tygermylk first surfaced in 2017 at Brighton Pride with debut single “What God Would Keep Us Apart”, a heartbreaking ballad based on a true story from Harland’s teen years. In 2021, flexing into a more commercial pop style, Harland co-wrote, co-produced & performed on the soundtrack for Amazon Original series “Flack” starring Anna Paquin. Last year, they then made their live TV debut on Channel 4’s The Last Leg. Previously heard at Glastonbury, The Isle of Wight Festival and on BBC Introducing, the open-heartedness at TYGERMYLK’s core is a skill developed from years of busking on London's Southbank and the Underground.
