Ordinary Stories is a community event for the LGBTQs, to share experiences and conversation, and connect with others in a casual and intimate setting.
Sign up to share here.
(There will be a sign up sheet on the night - so there is still a chance to share at the event, even if you're not quite sure yet. Similarly, if you change your mind after signing up, not to worry. Come and speak to one of us on the night, we'll take you off the list and you can just enjoy the event)

This next theme is ✧°˖.REST⭑˖✧
You could talk about:
How you replenish and nourish yourself, your self-care practices, how you deal with time-off or productivity guilt, what you like to do in your spare time, the best sleep you've ever had…
How you like to relax, how you find peace, what energises you, the first time you slept next to someone you love, cuddling, 🧑🏾🍳 cooking
⛱️ the creative nourishing activities you like to do with your community, how you show up for or serve those in chosen families so they can rest
🏞️ your dreams of a restful period and how you’d spend it…
👙 the commodification and commercialisation of self-care and the wellness industry 💅
🚴🏻♀️ how you’ve found recovery from burnout, healthy work practices or not-so-healthy work practices, 👨🏾💻 the ways you’ve learnt to rest on company time, periods where you’ve lacked rest
🛀🏻 or maybe now, maybe right now you’re just very tired and you’d like to talk about it
Whatever connects you with rest. We’re excited to hear about it.

Ordinary Stories is open to all members of the LGBTQ+ community and we welcome allies as audience members only.

Venue Information
Salt the Radish will have drinks and a small selection of snacks available to buy, we are also happy for visitors to bring food in during the event
There is a single step into the café and a ramp available to use
Unfortunately, space is limited within the café and, while there are no steps to the toilet, it is a very small room with no grab rails rails or accessibility adaptations and can just about fit a small wheelchair inside.
There is free parking on Blackstock Road, Monsell Road and Finsbury Park Road. The closest tube station is Finsbury Park (Victoria and Piccadilly Lines, Northern City and Thameslink) and nearest overground is Crouch Hill, which is a 16 minute walk/13 minute bus ride to Salt the Radish
