Make Good Trouble; A Practical Guide to the Energetics of Disruption : A Discussion
Saturday 29 June 2024
12:30pm to 13:30pm
Portobello Library
Explore how you can channel disruption to bring about positive change in this talk with author Briana Pegado on her new book Make Good Trouble, in discussion with Catherine-Rose Stocks-Rankin, a researcher with extensive experience of bridging the gap between policy, practice and community that leads to meaningful social change.
For those of us that have been part of movements and communities fighting for social change, disrupting the status quo may come naturally to us. However, getting comfortable with discomfort and cultivating a relationship to disruption allows us to make changes in our lives that are big or small in a way that is sustainable in the long-term.
This book helps us to develop tools and cultivate a relationship to disruption in order to better make choices about the change we want to see in the world. Join Briana and Catherine-Rose to consider how disruption is a powerful force in our lives.
