Queer Social Justice Pop-Up
Sunday 30 June 2024
11am to 4pm
Portobello Town Hall
This workshop is open to all concerned with questions of queer social justice and LGBTQ+ life. How do we remember, address and action questions of queer social justice - what does this look like? Is this equality for all? A sense of place? Something else? What creative possibilities might we imagine and enact? How can resources be produced collectively, how can space at the table be shared?
This workshop will be run by Yvette Taylor, featuring zine making, postcard activities, timeline tasks, social justice prompts, creative writing… and more!
Yvette Taylor is author of Working-Class Queers (Pluto, 2023), University of Strathclyde.
