March, rally and celebration of Dover LGBTQ+ community. Parading through the heart of Dover from Biggin hall to the market square and the Roman Lawn. Music, day entertainment & makers market will be available to enjoy for free.
If you would like to march with us register here first and then on the 24th August, please arrive at Biggin hall from 9am until 10:30am.
The people with entry tickets will receive a FREE priority pass to the Roman Lawn located at the end of the march. Where you can enjoy a line up of entertainment and activities, we will close the event at 4pm.
Our venues have a capacity limit. Please let us know if you have any access requirements.
Both La Salle Verte (aka Pride Cafe) the art club and the Roman Lawn will have entertainment throughout the day. If we do not reach full capacity at any point we will let more people in until capacity has been reached so as many people can enjoy the event as possible.
Queuing may be necessary if we have to implement a 'one out, one in' policy.
A WRISTBAND DOES NOT GUARANTEE YOU ENTRY OR RE-ENTRY TO THE VENUES ON THE DAY!
-Any under 16's must be accompanied by an adult.
-There will be bag searches when entering venues and before the march.
- Participants are NOT allowed to bring alcohol into the Roman Lawn , the art club or Pride Café
-Any restricted items will be taken from people and disposed of to ensure a safe event. Dover Pride is an event for the whole community, it is a series of events to raise awareness, support, self-worth, respect, courage and visibility; to reflect on the history, politics and resilience.

Registering for the March (leaving at 11am from outside Biggin hall / Dover town council building . 10.45 is the last time you will be able to register , if you are late please join the back of the March.
Let members of the team know if you are signed up for the March and have any access needs. The March will be organised into the three sections in along Biggin street with members of the public in the third March section.
There is Step-free access to the Biggin hall. Please not there will not be use of any toilets at Biggin hall.
The March Route
The route is step-free, there is uneven pavement in some places. The March pace will be very slow. Please let a member of the team know at any point if you are experiencing difficulties and we will help.
The March will narrow as it enters the Roman Lawn, stewards and security, will keep people spaced apart and ensure a steady progression onto the lawn.
Step-free access at the entrance to the Roman Lawn and across the site.
There will be a first aider present during the March, and will be in a first aid tent on the Roman Lawn (to the right of the gates on the Roman Lawn).
Several Pride team members are also first aiders, one of them is a mental health first aider.
Roman Lawn Day Event (12-4pm)
Once the venue is at capacity, we have a one in, one out door policy, to keep everyone safe.
Please note that once you’ve left the Roman Lawn, you will have to wait to re-enter if the venue is at capacity, including if you have a priority access wristband. If you have access needs, please inform a pride team member or steward and you will be moved to the front of the queue. If you are unable to stand in the queue, there are seats near the Roman Lawn entrance where you can wait to enter.
There is a disabled wheelchair accessible toilet on Roman Lawn and an indoor disabled toilet in Dover Library near the Roman Lawn.
There will be a seated area on the lawn for those with access needs
There will be a chill out zone gazebo - a calm sensory space for anyone needing to take a break and self-regulate. Ear defenders, eye masks, comfortable seating, colouring in, a starlight projector, stress/Stim toys will be provided. For all ages.this will be located on the market square ( markets Queer)
Accessibility dogs are welcome on the Roman Lawn.
Shopping/Refreshments: there will be 10 market stalls, a bubble tea stand and a candy floss stand, plus other food stalls and 2 bars.
Please not we have no running water on the lawn , please go to the pride cafe and or the art club for water.
Everything will be signposted.
Pride Cafe
The Pride Cafe at La Salle Verte is wheelchair accessible, step-free and has a disabled toilet.
The Pride cafe also has musical and drag performances, but is a more relaxed space than the Roman lawn, with seating.
