A Very Lesbian Love Story

One woman monologue at ARK Cliftonville
A big gorgeous, touching , funny, irreverent and moving look at falling in love, loss and grief and what happens afterwards on the journey to survive after the love of your life has died. Clare Beloved is an artist, poet and community leader from Liverpool - she’s funny, warm and magical and has you crying and laughing all in the same second. After her wife died she travelled to San Francisco , Provincetown and a little magical Island in Greece where she hung out with some fishermen and tried to heal her broken heart … she has woven both her and her wife's words together into delicious stories from their lives to open your heart and make you want to live more juicily.
“Margate Pride is delighted to be presenting Clare Beloved's play 'A Very Lesbian Love Story' about love and loss as part of this year's Festival. The subjects explored are universal and everyone and will experience at some point in their life. The experiences LGBTQIA+ people can face through grief can be unique and is something we wanted to platform and make space for. We're so excited to see Clare's play and are also thrilled that she is hosting a creative grief workshop the following day and showing artwork as part of the Pride Art Map.”
