Did you know that we have some gorgeous rare nature spots on our doorstep? For Pride month, join a small group for a guided session in Margate's meadows and woodlands, tuning into slow joy. Together we'll get to know the meadow grasslands at Foreness Point, which is Cliftonville's very own designated Local Wildlife Site, and we'll find some feels with the trees of Dane Valley Woods and Mockett's Wood in St Peter's.
These sessions aim to be an intentional space of community care, where we'll learn from each other and see how nature can nourish and sustain us.
Logistics: The sessions will last about 1.5 hours and are LGBTQIA+ centred, with allies welcome too. Just bring yourself, no previous knowledge needed. There will be no expectation to talk, so come along however you are feeling. There will be walking options and seated options. Access information

Phoebe Apollo is a queer nature lover who recently retrained so she could be outside more. She now works for Thanet District Council taking care of trees and trying to increase biodiversity. In return she wants to support our local community to feel companionship with the natural world and more connected to our surroundings.
