Peter & Kerry
It's 2010, Tape Club Records, where Peter/Kerry met Kerry/Peter. After realising their shared love for The Simpsons, and a wild summer of 4am rooftop chats in North London, or treetop chats in East London, they were bonded by Autumn.
Their first release was recorded in the comfort zone of Peter’s bedroom back at his parents’ house. The EP was ramshackle, familiar and intimate. The chemistry was palpable and between the debut EP and their first full-length album release, their music found its way onto BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2, 6Music and XFM, as well as mainstream TV.
Tours alongside Lianne La Havas, Lucy Rose and Laura Mvula, as well as slots at festivals followed. The music amassed 25M+ organic listeners, reviews and features with the likes of Clash, Guardian, Line of Best, The Quietus, and Bonobo’s Late Night Tales.
And now? Peter and Kerry have come back together after a 10 year hiatus. Older, wiser, uglier, the “and” reinstated. They are releasing a long-awaited new album titled ‘You, Me and the Moon’, featuring twelve new songs to the audience that have stuck by them, nearly twenty-five million online streams later. As independent artists once more, these twelve new songs will also reach a new audience, one whose ears might prick up at music that sounds and feels tangible. Played by hand. That lives in the physical world, imperfections and all.
