Your Voice Matters: Help develop LGBTQIA+ services and spaces in Lambeth & Southwark
Are you looking for a safe and welcoming space to connect with other LGBTQIA+ people in Lambeth and Southwark? Are you interested in mental health and well-being?
South East London Mind wants to help develop mental health and services and spaces that address the needs of the LGBTQIA+ community in Lambeth & Southwark. We'll be doing this in 2 ways:
2. An in-person consultation on Friday 4th October 6-8pm at the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre in Southwark. Attendees will be offered a £30 shopping voucher to thank them for their time and input. You must register if you want to attend as places are limited.
2. An online survey which is open until 23rd October. It takes about 10-15 minutes to complete, and you can enter to win a £100 shopping voucher for your time.
What we want to know:
- What are your experiences of using mental health services?
- What kind of services and spaces would you like to see available?
What do we mean by Queer and LGBTQIA+?
We know that our experiences are as diverse as our community. We also believe that our community members should have autonomy to define their own identifies and experiences, so the terms Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Trans, Intersex, Queer, Questioning, and Asexual may not reflect this. However, you’re still welcome to access our services if you don’t identify as heterosexual and/or cisgender (the gender you were assigned at birth).
Our spaces welcome trans, non-binary and gender-diverse people with open arms. We have a zero-tolerance approach to homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, racism and ableism.
