This summer's riots were a terrible escalation in racist violence across the country, with Muslims, migrants and Black and Asian people targeted. They followed large far-right mobilisations called by Tommy Robinson and the election of a Labour government that continues to vilify migrants. Yet the response to these pogroms was a display of our ability to organise against such violence. Here in East London, rs21 members were closely involved in the magnificent anti-racist protest in Walthamstow.
Join rs21 East London and speaker David Renton, rs21 member and author of Never Again: Rock Against Racism and the Anti-Nazi League 1976-1982 and Fascism: History and Theory, to discuss how these events came about and what we should do to continue the struggle against the far-right and racism.
