Welcome to Mother’s Best at The Royal Vauxhall Tavern.

Every first Sunday of the month Mother is allowed to take the reins of The Royal Vauxhall Tavern, throw back the curtains (and a few bevvies) and showcase the UK’s finest and funniest performers in one of the country’s most iconic, Grade 2 listed venue. Mother is bringing a mixture of established and breakthrough acts and DJs.

In April, Mother will feature the breath-taking Topsie Redfern and the fantastic Fagulous.

Topsie Redfern’s unique brand of wow-factor glamour, with her West-End vocals, wit and warmth are distilled from 10 years professional performing experience, including very popular pantomimes with legendary variety acts, hit musical “Chicago” and Edinburgh Fringe sell out, “Tony Blair The Musical”. Topsie was capapulted onto the UK cabaret scene after being first runner-up at the national competition Drag Idol UK, in 2013, and then going onto win Best Drag Newcomer in the 2014 Boyz Scene Awards. She is a frequent performer at The Royal Vauxhall Tavern, including our annual panto.

Performer and comedian Fagulous has taken the London cabaret scene by storm. From Liza Minnelli to Theresa May, Fagulous’s quirky celebrity impersonations and outrageously camp wit will have you in stitches of laughter in no time. There’s no surprise he’s recommended by the Evening Standard or that Time Out call him a ‘queer cabaret fave’!

But that’s not all, bop away into the late evening with one of the most up-and-coming international multi-genre DJs – FKA. Since debuting in 2016 they have gone on to tour in the United States, Australia, Europe, South America, Japan and all across the United Kingdom.
They have played at festivals such as MELT (Germany) El Dorado (UK) Burning Man (US) and much more. FKA has appeared in Wonderland, KaltBult & iD Magazine.

Mother's Best resident DJ - Silverhook will follow to serve you his delicious 80s infused electro-pop and other popular beats until 10:30.

PLUS, the gorgeous Pippa Dee will be on the door to welcome you in and see you on your way!
