Brooches pins and badges have served an important role in queer history. From the Gay Liberation Movement badges of the 1960’s to the pronoun badges we use today, these methods of self-identification and protest broadcast our beliefs, sense of humour and personal style to the world without having to say a word. In this ceramic workshop Maya Vivas will support participants in the creation of their own brooches and pins. Play, experimentation and personal aesthetics is encouraged!
