Dominique Palmer
Dominique, well-known for her award winning climate and social activism on global stages, also harnesses the power of music to unite people. Previously speaking at festival stages including: Reading, Leeds, Wireless, and more, and alongside artists such as Billie Eilish at the O2 ‘Overheated,’ has taken to the mainstage of Sziget Festival to an audience of over 30,000 attendees. She has recorded a song for Earth Day with Swedish grammi winning artist Titiyo, delivered a workshop with Live Out for the Grammy Museum and collaborates with music initiatives such as Earth Percent founded by Brian Eno, and Music Declares. She has featured in British Vogue, named a ‘Future Figure’ by BBC 1XTRA for the black community, and more. King Dorian Gay
King Dorian Gay is a dandy drag king who walks a tightrope of gender expression by bringing back what used to be masculine but now is considered feminine. Known for his wicked wit and over the top looks, Dorian is a favourite in the Reading drag scene, having previously performed at Salem Drag Trials, Sheer Obsession’s Suspenders, DIY Pride Reading, Pride Xtra 2023, and multiple editions of Howling @ The Moon just to name a few.
Jillette Blade
After training under the lights of Broadway, and being fed an unhealthy dose of the American dream, Jillette Blade now spends her time twisting tropes until they bleed corn syrup and cider. But don’t be fooled: resting just below the surface is a firey, seductive star. With every routine, she subverts another element of American exceptionalism, and what it means to be a “good” American. Her acts combine musical theatre, dance, live singing and burlesque to charm even the most cynical audience. She has performed across London, Leeds, Oxford, Reading and Birmingham, and made it to the semi-final of The GOB lipsync competition. If you think that’s a lot, don’t worry, she’s only just getting started.
Alex McKenzie
Alex McKenzie (they/them) is a dynamic, queer, non-binary performer, who combines an electric-guitar-style ukulele with a uniquely melodic voice, and influences from artists like Amy Winehouse, Green Day, Bo Burnham, Will Wood, The Beatles - the list goes on! The result of this is a set full of both covers and originals which will grab the attention of a variety of audiences. In addition to live music, Alex is also experienced in acting and musical theatre, having recently understudied the role of ‘Uncle Fester’ in the Theatre Royal Windsor’s production of “The Addams Family Musical.” They are super excited to be a part of Howling @ The Moon
Ell Thompson
As well as being a performance poet, Ell (they/them) wears many hats as an actor, voice artist, singer, and composer (and occasional pantomime dame). Their semi-autobiographical work explores stories of trans experience knitted with nature and city life through pulsating rhythm and rhyme.
Karma Obskura
Karma Obskura is the shape-shifting, cabaret miscreant and deviant drag doll from the dirty streets of smoky London. Their work often centres around transtemporal themes, exploring gothic pasts and queer futures. They are the founder of Klub Obskura, a drag and cabaret outfit set up to champion the obscurer side of conventional cabaret placing divergent and marginalised performers at its core. They are also passionate about conservation and have produced several successful ugly bug balls this year and are looking to dive deep under the murky waters of our rivers and oceans in 2025 for a brand new project.
