Polari Prize founder Paul Burston hosts a special event at Queer Lit, Manchester with shortlisted authors Rachel Dawson and Orlando Ortega Medina.
Rachel Dawson is the author of Neon Roses, which is shortlisted for The Polari First Book Prize 2024.
Orlando Ortega Medina is the author of The Fitful Sleep of Immigrants, which is shortlisted for The Polari Prize 2024.
Paul Burston is the author of six novels and five non-fiction books and the editor of two short story collections.
His memoir We Can Be Heroes was described by Russell T. Davies as “brutally honest” and by ES Magazine as “probably the gay book of the year.”
The Polari Prize is the UK's leading book prize for LGBTQ+ writing.
