t’ART Exhibition: Queer Time - Queer Life Drawing with Lucie Arnoux

t’ART’s resident illustrator Lucie Arnoux is going to be leading a queer life drawing session as part of the t’ART Exhibition: Queer Time programming.

Lucie will lead you through a series of quick poses and warm up exercises and then you’ll have the opportunity to spend time on some longer poses, with guidance from Lucie.

Paper, pencils and charcoal will be provided, but you’re also welcome to bring along your own materials.

Teacher:

Lucie Arnoux is one of t’ART’s co-founders, and is a London-based illustrator, painter and comic-book author. They started drawing comics at 14, when they joined the Studio Gottferdom. First published at 17 in Lanfeust Magazine, they produced monthly autobiographical stories in its pages for six years. They studied in Paris before finally moving to the UK. They graduated from Kingston University in Illustration and Animation, and have settled in London for good.

A compulsive sketcher, Lucie has tried their hands at all sorts of painterly things: designing theatre backdrops and prop painting with Olivier award-winning designer Tim Bird, live sketching as artist-in-residence for Sidmouth Folkweek, Womad and the Rose Theatre, illustrating comics and children’s books published internationally. They are the author and illustrator of French comic Enola Holmes and graphic memoir Je Ne Sais Quoi (Penguin, 2022).

International burlesque artist Shard O'Nay is setting stages ablaze and leaving a trail of audiences craving more.

Labeled ‘one to watch,’ she captures the audience with her story telling. Passionate about championing Black and global majority talent both on and off stage, she is mastermind behind Powerhauss Cabaret Collective.

Keep an eye out for Shard O’Nay; she’s coming to a stage near you! Much like her name, she’s intoxicating—her moves will leave you utterly spellbound.
