Join us for a Zines and Badges Making Workshop in Support of Sex Work Rights!
In this workshop, an experienced artist will guide you through the process of creating a unique "puzzle purse" zine. A puzzle purse is a traditional paper craft made by folding a single sheet of paper into intricate shapes, often used to hide secret messages or tokens. Popular in the 18th and 19th centuries in the UK, it was commonly exchanged as a romantic gesture or a playful riddle.
You’ll have the chance to craft zines that express positive messages to Ye Haiyan or support advocacy for sex work rights. In addition, we’ll have a badge-making machine available for you to design and create your own badges in support of this important cause.
This workshop is part of the 'Hooligan Sparrow Film Screening-Fundraising for Ye Haiyan' event series. By signing up, you’ll also receive a free ticket to attend the Hooligan Sparrow screening on September 25th. Zines and badges made during the workshop can be donated to be sold during the film screening to raise funds.
Light snacks will be provided during the workshop.

We are Sparrow’s Wings🪽, a London-based group advocating for sex work rights in solidarity with the Chinese community.
Collaborator: SWARM
SWARM is a collective founded and led by sex workers who believe in self-determination, solidarity and co-operation. They campaign for the rights and safety of everyone who sells sexual services. Together they organise skill-shares and support meet-ups just for sex workers, as well as public events. They are UK based and part of the global sex worker led movement advocating the full decriminalisation of sex work.

Participants may cancel for free up to 48 hours before the workshop. Should the organizers need to cancel for any reason, a full refund will be provided.
