This Black History Month, we are centering trans+ femmes of colour.
Bambi, an artist and community organiser, will lead a creative workshop for trans+ femmes of colour. This will be a space to explore your experiences through creativity and art. The day will start with a collective activity around experiences, needs and desires for trans+ femmes of colour.
Bambi will then lead an individual collage workshop, inspired and rooted in the discussions from the first activity.
This event is open to any trans+ femme of colour. It is a space to make trans history, think about trans futures and explore your identities creatively.
All materials will be provided on the day, but please feel free to bring anything that you would like to include in your artwork or that inspires you.
Facilitator:
Bambi Jordan Phillips (She/They) is a creative producer, movement artist and model interested in driving artistic work for social change. Bambi is a cornerstone of the London Ballroom Scene, an advocate, mentor and authority for the community. Of which she is Mother of the Kiki House of Laveaux. Bambi believes in Voguing as a form of social activism - a direct connection to trans embodied ancestry.
