Film, Discussion and Soup for Activists
An evening of short, uplifting films about activism, community and art followed by discussion. The films and discussion will be led by the filmmakers and Dan Glass. We'll be serving vegan soup.
Dan Glass is an award-winning human rights activist, performer, educator, film presenter, investigative reporter, art-activist, speaker and mentor. He splits his time between Glasgow, London and Berlin. In his words he's a cruiser, bruiser, bad jew and a Level 7 Activist!

Films Not Bombs is a community film about Glasgow’s Food Not Bombs chapter in Govanhill. It highlights how the group offers free food weekly to challenge war and capitalism, demonstrating the transformative power of community action. Created through a University of Glasgow and GMAC course, the film features Glasgow’s queer community and is the debut film for three of its creators.

Hampstead Heath played host to the first George Michael Sexual Freedom Party in April 2017. Over two hundred people partied near Jack Straw's Castle in the bushes where George Michael would cruise for sex. The day was a celebration of his life and music. Dan Glass and Queer Tours of London - A Mince Through Time hosted the event.
