Sapphic Strumming is a brand new queer live music night, hosting songwriters in the heart of Hackney. Artists’ music will range from calming jazz to soulful folk music, with a hint of South Asian inspired electronic pop. In collaboration with Set Piece Social, Sapphic Strumming will open its doors to an intimate night of honest music and storytelling. This event will involve stripped back sound and we encourage the audience to stay present whilst listening to the music and enjoy the night!
Georgia Lee, Leah Tess and Amna Askari will be performing a variety of original music and covers.
Special Guest TBA
Set Piece Social will be bringing their usual line-up of banging food and drinks from women and queer-owned businesses; Set Piece Social cocktails, beer from Queer Brewing, cider from The Real Al Co and a line-up of traditional and natural wines from women winemakers. Empanadas from Chacarero will be available all evening: 1 for £4.50 or 3 for £12.
We encourage the audience to order food and drinks before the music starts and during breaks.
Doors open at 6pm. Music will begin from 7:30pm.
