Join us on World AIDS Day for an afternoon of events to reflect on the current situation of HIV.
We have three events organised for this World AIDS Day. Event information and times are below. Please be sure to book your ticket for the relevant event that you would like to attend.
1-2.15pm: Positive Futures - Discussion
During this World AIDS Day, we come together to remember those who are no longer with us and to celebrate those who are. Join Kuba for the opportunity to meet other people living with HIV and discuss your experiences in a safe environment.
43 years ago we had the first case of HIV in the UK. Since then, HIV has become another well-managed long-term condition. People living with HIV can live daily lives similar to the general population. With the new treatment on the horizon, the future looks brighter than ever before.
This World AIDS Day, let's gather and discuss the past, present, and future of good and healthy living.
2.30-4.15pm: Ephemeral HIV Museum
Join Diego for a narrative building workshop. This event is open for people living with HIV and people affected by HIV (family members, carers, and friends).
For the workshop participants will be asked to bring a personal object with them. Through these personal objects/archives, the workshop will articulate a series of creative and socialising exercises. Together the participants will creatively explore how to create narratives around their experiences with HIV.
1-4.30pm: Love Tank Prevention Stall
During the day visitors can visit the Love Tank stall for information and resources around HIV prevention and sexual health. This is open to everyone.
