At Riot we create parties that prioritise and celebrate marginalised communities.
Unfortunately, public transport can be unreliable, and for many in our community, traveling late at night can feel unsafe. That's why we’re raising funds to provide safe rides home for both our staff and low income party attendees.
We have readjusted our budget and dedicated a portion of available funds towards the cab fund, however we need your support to offer this to as many people who may need it as possible.
Please do not donate to this cab fund if you cannot afford to. This is for higher earning members of our community to show their support.
What We're Fundraising For:
Cabs for Safeguards/Monitors: Our dedicated team works tirelessly to ensure the party and our community are kept safe. We want to make sure they can head home with peace of mind after the night is over.
Cabs for Low Income Attendees: For many queer folks, getting home safely is a real concern, especially after a night out, and when things go wrong - such as getting too intoxicated or losing friends. This fund will provide cab rides home to low income people who may need it.
Why This Matters: The queer community often faces unique safety challenges, especially at night. Providing safe transportation is a simple yet powerful way to show that we take care of each other. Your donation, no matter the amount, will directly support our efforts to keep this a safe, inclusive, and joyful event for everyone.
How You Can Help:
Donate: Every contribution helps! Whether it's the cost of a single cab ride or a few extra miles, your generosity makes a difference.
Share: Even if you can't donate, spreading the word can help us reach others who can. Share this campaign with friends, family, and allies to help us reach our goal.
