An event series of live electronic music performances, exploring the space between club and experimental.
For event #7, we have curated a line-up of live performances from:
Nik Colk Void is a London based electronic musician and artist known for her experimental sound and innovative use of voice, guitar, and modular Eurorack systems. A founding member of Factory Floor and Carter Tutti Void, she has collaborated with artists including Peter Rehberg, Klara Lewis, and Haroon Mirza, and her trio’s production Full-On has been performed at Sonar, Dark Mofo, and the Pompidou Centre. Her 2022 debut album, Bucked Up Space (Editions Mego), merges improvisation with beat-driven music, reflecting her adaptability across galleries and clubs. In 2024, she premiered Beyond Echoes, a Eurorack and cello project, now an installation at Istanbul’s Digital Arts Museum. Nik has performed at festivals like Mutek, Sonar, and Primavera, with works featured at the Barbican, Tate Modern, and the Pompidou Centre.
Al Wootton is a local producer, DJ, artist, and operator of the record labels TRULE and Amidah Recordings. Through his own releases and those on his labels, he navigates the space between techno, dub, UK garage, and sparse, hypnotic percussion workouts. He is one-third of the band Holy Tongue, alongside percussionist Valentina Magaletti and Susumu Mukai (Zongamin). Al Wootton has collaborated with various artists, including Moritz von Oswald, Moin, Nabihah Iqbal, and Shackleton.
Michael son of Michael, M.E. co-pilot, is a Margate-based electronic musician and co-founder of the production challenge collective and DIY label, The Fearless Few. True to his Northern European roots, harmonic and melodic layers feature prominently in his productions, with his most recent work focusing on using Elektron boxes in ways that mimic the simplicity of making music with Casiotone keyboards.
