Join us on February 1st 2025 at Asteria Studio in Manchester for our first ZEN POLE JAMZ Fundraiser, in aid of Manchester Action on Street Health (MASH)! We will be hosting a two hour pole and poetry jam, where you will be welcome to meet and dance with one another on the poles, or write/perform your own poetry, exploring ideas of empowerment, sensual freedom and self-reflection with poet and ZPJ producer, ZEN. She will prompt you with key phrases and imagery and ask you the important questions to help put your reflections onto paper.
Depending on the number of people booked on, £5-10 from your ticket will be donated to MASH! The more people booked on, the more we can donate!
People of all genders, backgrounds and abilities are welcome, though we recommend at least 3 months of pole experience before attending a pole jam.
Date: Saturday 1st February 2025
Pole and Poetry Jam: 3-5pm
Optional Post-jam Social: 5.30pm onwards at a nearby restaurant.

- Filling in forms.
The Poet
ZEN (@ZENWRITERX) is a full-time mechanical engineer, and part-time professional pole and go-go dancer, and published poet. Her previous poetry performances include being commissioned for the Tate Modern Young Patrons Party - where she fused dance with poetry, as well as various cabaret shows, and Molten Muse - where she fused pole with poetry. She has also been published in Hoe Zine, Sweet Thang Zine, and most recently in the Dear Kiki Collections of Poetry Book by Jamel Duane Alatise. Her poetry takes note of the world around her as well as personal reflections, whilst incorporating images of nature and movement.
