In honour of the birth of the New Year we’re bringing BLEDI BACK! This time we’re serving Mother - in tribute to all the women and divas of the community, so come to Bledi MAMA. Your fave QTIBPOC night is returning to the Yard once again with some brand new artists and some familiar faces in the lineup (announcements coming soon). You can expect stalls, tunes, and performances from 10:30pm til 3:30am on the 24th of January so get your tickets quick before they sell out!
Non-QTIBPOC allies are welcomed and encouraged to pay for the higher entry fee. Reminder that this is a space prioritising QTIBPOC, be aware of the space you are taking. We will be allocating a number of tickets for people who are low income (priority will be given to refugees and people who are seeking asylum), please email blediparty@gmail.com to arrange this. There will be photographers at the event taking consented footage and photographs, but consent can be withdrawn at any time for any images/videos on the Bledi social media (just send us a DM).
Bledi is The Queer SWANA Art Space, a dedicated collective and night out centring QTIBPOC (Queer, Trans/Non-Binary, and/or Intersex, Black people and People of Colour) from the SWANA region (South West Asia/North Africa - commonly referred to as 'the Middle East'). Bledi (Arabic for ‘My Homeland’) has created a space for SWANA Queers to celebrate our lives and showcase our talents, as underrepresented artists of typically marginalised backgrounds.
