As 2025 begins we want to take this opportunity to acknowledge the support we’ve received over the past 10 years and update you about the future of Poetry LGBT Open Mic Night.
A Decade of Poetry LGBT.
Ten years ago in January 2015, Gee and I began a journey to create a safe space for queer voices. A place where love, poetry, and community intertwined.
Through countless nights of shared stories and creativity, we've witnessed the power of words to heal and inspire.
Your unwavering support has been the heart of this community. Your presence, your applause, and your kind words have fueled our passion for community connection and could not have done this without you.
Together, we've celebrated love in all its forms and dreamed of a future where everyone is free to be themselves.
As this chapter ends, we express our deepest gratitude for your support. Poetry LGBT would not have been what it was without the open mic’ers and the audience. We'll cherish the bonds we've forged over the past 10 years.
While the open mic night is ending, the spirit of community, love, and poetry will live on in our hearts.
Let's continue to support each other and create a world where every voice is heard within the LGBTQ+ community and beyond.
